Today (in my opinion) history re-wrote itself. It started with a nice 45 minute drive down from Salt Lake to BYU, I then got there and had a fight with the people who checked bracelets to get in to the stadium but that was resolved, quickly, I then startd to jog around and see who was there and just to look around. I warmed up with about a mile and started to just sit and mentally prepare myself, I thought that the girls heats were going all the way to 10 at a slow pace. I then  by found out that BYU people are very good at moving people along and before I knew it they had called heat 2 boys and I still had not stretched. I did get a little bit of static stretching at the beginning so I then got a bit of balistic stretching so I felt confident in myself. I was ranked number one in my  heat so I felt even better with my self with the best spot on the track.

The first lap was pretty good, just jossling around and seeing what people were going to in the first lap, there was a group of five kids that ran like a 64 there first lap so I thought that I was not going to be able to win this, but as the second lap came around I was able to catch three of them so I gained very confident, I then came around leading the third lap (I dont even know my splits in this meet) but then Garett from East had a wild surge that put him ahead by 5 seconds, I then tried to kick but did not have it in me, I was still making great time and was around 3rd, the final stretch came in and I did the worst thing. I looked behind me and got passed by another kid, this was good though because I need to work on my kick and this showed me to discipline myself to not look behind me. I cam in 4th with a time of 4:49. That is a 5 second drop from Orem Tiger Trials so I am very pleased with my result. Cool down of one mile.
